Highlights from Seed Nigeria Women’s Health Day In Partnership With Iwosan Wellness Mar 23, 2026 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Copy link On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Seed Nigeria brought together her women network members for a truly refreshing and intentional experience; “Women’s Health Day in collaboration with IWOSAN Wellness”. It was more than just an event; it was a much-needed pause. A moment to reflect, reconnect, and prioritize what often takes the back seat — our health and wellbeing. The day began with members arriving into a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with anticipation. There was an immediate sense of ease, women greeting each other, reconnecting, and settling into a space intentionally designed for them. The event officially kicked off with a welcome address from Dr. Oluwatomi Kogo, Managing Director, Iwosan Lagoon Outpatient Clinic & Iwosan Lagoon Wellness Centre , who set the tone for the day. Dr. Oluwatomi Kogo Her opening remarks were both grounding and insightful, reminding women of the importance of being intentional about their health. She walked participants through what to expect, from the wellness sessions to the creative and physical activities planned. Following this, the President of the network and MD of Wood Et Al, Omolola Ajani, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech. She emphasized the importance of women taking care of themselves, not just occasionally, but consistently and intentionally. Her words resonated deeply, serving as a powerful reminder that caring for others should not come at the expense of caring for oneself. President Omolola Ajani speaking to the members and guests One of the most impactful moments of the day came as Dr. Kogo returned for a deeper session on women’s health. She provided an extensive and enlightening breakdown of key topics, including reproductive health, menopause, and the different stages women experience. The session was both educational and empowering, equipping attendees with knowledge many had not previously explored in depth. Beyond the physical aspects of health, conversations also touched on emotional wellbeing, particularly the importance of setting boundaries and protecting one’s energy. This created a safe and reflective space where women could not only learn but also internalize and relate these insights to their daily lives. Before transitioning into activities, attendees were treated to light refreshments, including parfait, drinks, and a warm serving of bread and tomato soup prepared by the Chef who gave a breakdown of the ingredients used in the meal and their health benefits. This moment offered time to relax, connect, and recharge. Then came the energy shift. The space transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, with multiple experiences happening simultaneously. From karaoke sessions filled with laughter, to sip and paint moments that sparked creativity, to yoga, stretching, and movement exercises that encouraged physical release, there was something for every woman to engage with. Each activity was designed not just for fun, but for expression, relaxation, and connection. As the day drew to a close, the atmosphere remained lively and fulfilled. Women lingered by networking, sharing reflections, exchanging contacts, and simply enjoying each other’s presence. The event wrapped up with thoughtful gift packs from Seed Nigeria, leaving attendees with a tangible reminder of the experience. More importantly, they left with something deeper; a renewed sense of awareness, connection, and commitment to their wellbeing. Our Women’s Health Day was not just an event. It was a reminder that wellness is not a luxury but an essential, and that every woman deserves the space to pause, breathe, and take care of herself. comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment. • Skin101 Clinics: Celebrating a Decade of Transforming Skin & Confidence. | Seed Network Nigeria

Skin101 Clinics: Celebrating a Decade of Transforming Skin & Confidence. Oct 29, 2025 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Copy link At the heart of Nigeria’s growing aesthetic and dermatology sector stands Skin101 Clinics , founded by visionary medical practitioner Dr. Hilda Ashio Titiloye . With postgraduate training in clinical dermatology and aesthetic medicine from reputable institutions abroad, Dr. Titiloye built Skin101 on a simple but powerful conviction: Nigerians deserve world-class skin care and aesthetic services at home, not just abroad. Since its inception over ten years ago, Skin101 Clinics has become synonymous with innovation, clinical excellence, and empowerment. From cutting-edge dermatology clinics to a training institute and skincare manufacturing, the brand’s footprint reflects a commitment to not only treat skin conditions but to elevate the standards of aesthetic medicine for people of colour across Nigeria. A Decade of Growth, Impact & Innovation From its early days, Skin101 Clinics set itself apart by combining clinical rigor with aesthetic vision. Operating at the intersection of dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and training, the brand opened its doors with the mission to add quality to life through accessible yet premium skin solutions. Over the years, the company expanded its services, training programmes, and geographic reach. The facility in Abuja was relaunched with modern equipment, signalling the company’s ambition to reduce medical tourism in aesthetic medicine in Nigeria. In December 2024, Skin101 further anchored its commitment by opening a new branch in Port Harcourt, reinforcing its nationwide presence and dedication to skin health for all. Beyond clinic walls, Skin101 has influenced the industry through education and manufacturing. As the founder once explained, her vision included creating doctor-formulated skincare lines and a training centre for beauty therapy professionals. The brand’s story is not just one of service delivery but of ecosystem-building; training talent, creating products, empowering clients, and elevating Nigerian standards in aesthetic medicine. What the Next Decade Holds As Skin101 marks its 10-year anniversary, the brand stands at a pivotal moment. With established multi-location operations, a growing brand reputation, and a clear purpose, the next phase is about deepening impact by reaching more Nigerians, refining services for diverse skin types, scaling training for practitioners, and innovating skin solutions tailored for African skin. Dr. Titiloye has articulated a vision where aesthetic medicine and skin wellness become both accessible and empowering for Nigerians, not a luxury but a standard. The anniversary is both a celebration of what’s been achieved and a launchpad for what comes next: an era of elevated skin health, confidence, and local excellence. Join the Celebration We extend our congratulations to Skin101 Clinics , Dr. Hilda Ashio Titiloye , and the entire team on this remarkable milestone. Here’s to ten years of transformation and to many more years of innovation, empowerment, and outstanding care in Africa’s aesthetic medicine industry. comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment. • Inqaba Biotec West Africa Celebrates 10 Years Anniversary | Seed Network Nigeria

Inqaba Biotec West Africa Celebrates 10 Years Anniversary Aug 20, 2025 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Copy link This year marks a remarkable milestone for Inqaba Biotec West Africa (IBWA) as the company celebrates 10 years of driving innovation in life sciences and genomics across the region. From its humble beginnings at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan to becoming a key player in empowering African researchers, IBWA has championed capacity building, provided cutting-edge solutions, and fostered collaborations that are shaping the continent’s scientific future. IBWA's humble beginning in 2014 When Inqaba biotec West Africa opened its doors a decade ago, it marked more than just the arrival of a company, it signaled the rise of an indigenous, Pan-African force committed to transforming life sciences and genomics across West and Central Africa. Now, ten years later, the company stands not just as a witness to the region's scientific evolution but as a driving engine behind it. This anniversary offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on IBWA's journey, celebrate its successes, and cast a vision for the future. From Humble Beginnings to Regional Relevance Established in 2014 and becoming fully operational in 2015, Inqaba biotec West Africa (IBWA) started from modest beginnings. Headquartered at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Nigeria, the team began its journey providing vital genomics products, sequencing services, and molecular biology support to researchers, universities, and life science community. What truly set IBWA apart from the onset was its blend of local insight and global standards. While many organizations focused on importing ready-made solutions, IBWA embedded itself in local scientific communities, offering training, consultation, and customer-specific support. By 2018, the company had grown enough to move into its own purpose-built facility across from IITA. This symbolic transition highlighted not just infrastructural growth but IBWA's commitment to rooting scientific progress within African soil. Empowering the Scientific Community One of IBWA's core contributions over the years has been capacity building. Recognizing that technology alone isn't enough, the company invested in training workshops across Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and beyond. Researchers, lab technologists, and students were trained in basic molecular techniques, phylogenetics, bioinformatics, Sanger sequencing, and other data analysis tools. During the COVID-19 pandemic, IBWA's relevance was underscored in real-time. The company provided reagents, guidance, and services that supported large-scale testing across West Africa. Their rapid response and regional logistics enabled health institutions to meet diagnostic demands with accuracy and speed. Game-Changing Partnerships IBWA's impact has been magnified through collaborative projects. In 2023, they partnered with IITA, Malimbe Foundation and AfricaBP to sequence the genomes of indigenous African plant species. We have also partnered with Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital to offer HLA Genotyping services in Nigeria. Further partnerships with academic institutions have birthed new training curricula, field research collaborations, and long-term data projects. Through initiatives like "Microbes Minutes," over 75 African researchers were trained in Sanger and NGS workflows, many of whom are now leading projects in their respective countries. Localized Growth, Pan-African Vision One of IBWA's most commendable strategies is its localized approach to expansion. Rather than impose a one-size-fits-all template, the company works closely with regional stakeholders, adjusts for cultural and linguistic diversity, and ensures its presence aligns with local needs. In Francophone West Africa, for instance, IBWA has adapted its services and communication to better serve French-speaking researchers and institutions. This level of detail has fostered trust, long-term relationships, and mutual growth. Looking Forward: The Next 10 Years As Inqaba biotec West Africa steps into its second decade, the opportunities are vast and exciting. We plan to localize our Next Generation Sequences services leveraging the PacBio HiFi technology. We also plan to further extend our foothold into new markets across the continent. On a final note, Inqaba biotec West Africa has shown that with vision, local engagement, and a commitment to excellence, it is possible to reshape Africa’s scientific future. The company has already left an indelible mark on the genomics landscape through training thousands, enabling life-saving diagnostics, and powering world-class research. Yet, this is only the beginning. With ten successful years behind it, the next ten hold the promise of deeper impact, broader collaboration, and a stronger African voice in the global scientific arena. Happy 10th Anniversary, Inqaba biotec West Africa. Here's to the journey ahead! As IBWA reflects on its first decade of impact, the company stands as a true testament to the power of vision, resilience, and localized growth. With exciting plans to expand services and strengthen partnerships across Africa, the next ten years promise even greater contributions to science, health, and innovation. Congratulations once again to Inqaba Biotec West Africa on this inspiring 10-year journey. Here’s to many more decades of breakthroughs and success. comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment. • Give to Gain: Key Lessons from Funto Boroffice’s IWD Webinar | Seed Network Nigeria

Give to Gain: Key Lessons from Funto Boroffice’s IWD Webinar Mar 29, 2026 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Copy link As part of the International Women’s Day event series by Stanford Seed Network Nigeria, entrepreneurs gathered for a thought-provoking session led by Funto Boroffice, Founder/CEO of Chanja Datti and Moderated by Roseline Ilori, Founder/CEO, Bridge57 Solutions. Her session, “Give to Gain: Shifting from Competitive to Collaborative Business Models,” challenged a deeply rooted mindset among many entrepreneurs, the need to compete at all costs. Rethinking Competition in Saturated Markets Funto began by addressing a reality many women entrepreneurs face. Acros s industries like fashion, food, beauty, and retail, businesses often operate in highly saturated markets where the instinct is to protect ideas, guard customers, and outperform competitors. However, she introduced a different perspective, one that moves away from isolation and toward collaboration. Instead of asking, “How do I win alone?” founders were encouraged to ask, “Who can I grow with?” The Power of “Give to Gain” At the heart of the session was a powerful concept: strategic generosity. “Give to Gain,” as Funto explained, is not about giving blindly or losing value. It is about intentionally sharing value through partnerships, visibility, knowledge, and opportunities in ways that ultimately multiply results. When done right, collaboration can expand reach, unlock new markets, and create stronger, more resilient businesses. From Isolation to Collaboration One of the key risks Funto highlighted was the danger of operating in isolation. Entrepreneurs who try to do everything alone often limit their growth. In contrast, those who build partnerships and collaborate with others are able to leverage shared strengths, reduce limitations, and scale faster. She encouraged participants to explore opportunities to: Partner with complementary businesses Co-create products or services Share audiences and platforms Build mutually beneficial relationships Real Growth Requires a New Mindset Beyond strategies, the session emphasized a mindset shift. Moving from competition to collaboration requires trust, openness, and a long-term view of growth. It means recognizing that another business’s success does not diminish yours — it can, in fact, create more opportunities for everyone involved. A New Way to Build For many participants, the session was a refreshing reminder that building a successful business does not have to be a solitary journey. By embracing collaboration and practicing strategic generosity, entrepreneurs can build businesses that are not only profitable but also connected, visible, and impactful. As the IWD series continues, sessions like this reinforce a powerful message: growth is not just about how much you can do alone, but how well you can grow with others. comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment.
