A City Designed for the Future Alárò City spans almost three times the size of Victoria Island, and its masterplan was designed by world-renowned urban planners Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The city features a 2.5 km, 8-lane, 60-meter-wide main boulevard, linking residential, commercial, and industrial zones while supporting walkability and seamless transport within the city. Members learned that the city is powered by its own independent power plant, licensed to generate 10MW and scalable to 120MW, ensuring reliable electricity for residents and businesses. Its water treatment plant meets WHO & SON standards, providing clean water 24/7, and a licensed security company ensures safety alongside Lagos State security measures. Strategic Location & Connectivity Alárò City’s location is a key advantage for business and logistics: 30 minutes to Lekki Deep Sea Port, Nigeria’s first port with ship-to-shore cranes capable of lifting up to 85 tons, and a turning circle for vessels up to 20,000 TEU. Green Corridor access as a Free Zone enterprise allows goods to reach the city within 24 hours without consignment checks. Ongoing and planned road projects like the Lekki-Epe Expressway renovation, Lagos-Calabar Expressway, Ijebu-Ode Expressway, and 7th Axial Road drastically reduce travel times and facilitate cargo evacuation. Planned projects include the Green Light Rail (71 km route to Marina) and Lekki International Airport, further strengthening Alárò City’s connectivity. Residential & Lifestyle Amenities The city has attracted over 700 residential investors and hosts more than 100 companies, employing over 1,600 people. Key residential developments include Universal One, a 576-unit apartment complex offering furnished and unfurnished apartments with rental income potential from $4,000–$6,000 per year for 2-bedroom units. Residents will enjoy a high-quality lifestyle with upcoming leisure centers featuring: Swimming pool Sports center Basketball and football courts Paddle court Shopping plaza and bar Recreational spaces and kids playground Education is also a cornerstone, with Wellington College International Lagos opening in 2027 to provide a holistic academic experience for children aged 2–18. Overcoming Fear, Failure, and Self-Doubt: Insights from Tomi Olatunbode's SUITE Training on March 2, 2025 Mar 4, 2025 Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Copy link Tomi Olatunbode On Saturday, March 2, 2025, the Stanford Seed Transformation Network, Nigeria Chapter, hosted an impactful SUITE training session titled "The Entrepreneur's Mindset: Overcoming Fear, Failure, and Self-Doubt." This free training program, designed to empower non-members who are entrepreneurs, featured Tomi Olatunbode, Founder/CEO of Spazio Ideale, as the facilitator. The session was a resounding success, filled with thought-provoking insights and interactive discussions. Key Takeaways from Tomi Olatunbode's Session Tomi Olatunbode shared her entrepreneurial journey and provided actionable strategies to help participants navigate fear, failure, and self-doubt in their businesses. Here are some highlights: Reframing Fear: Tomi explained that fear is simply a signal from our bodies to alert us to potential risks. She encouraged participants to view fear as information rather than a barrier. By analyzing the root causes of fear and taking small, calculated steps forward, entrepreneurs can turn fear into an ally. Failure as Feedback: "Failure is not final; it’s feedback," Tomi emphasized. She shared how every successful venture is built on lessons learned from setbacks. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to adopt a growth mindset by reflecting on what worked and what didn’t after each setback to continuously improve their processes. The Sigmoid Curve of Reinvention: Tomi introduced the concept of the sigmoid curve, urging entrepreneurs to reinvent themselves at their peak to avoid stagnation or decline. She highlighted the importance of embracing new challenges and pushing beyond comfort zones to achieve sustained growth. Overcoming Self-Doubt: Addressing imposter syndrome, Tomi reminded participants that they belong in every room they step into. She advised them to reflect on their past achievements and draw inspiration from others who have broken barriers in their fields. Interactive Discussions The session was highly interactive, with participants sharing their dreams and challenges during engaging exercises. One notable moment was when Tomi asked attendees what they would do if they were guaranteed not to fail. Responses ranged from pursuing creative passions like dancing or writing to starting bold new ventures or traveling the world deliberately. Damola Adeola, who moderated the session, added depth by sharing his own experiences with effective delegation and process optimization in business. The discussions fostered a supportive environment where participants felt encouraged to share openly and learn from one another. Save the Date for the Next SUITE Training! The next SUITE training session is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025 , and promises another enriching experience for entrepreneurs eager to learn and grow.
