Three Decades Strong: Reals Pharmaceutical Marks Major Milestone
Jun 25, 2026

For three decades, Reals Pharmaceutical Limited has remained committed to one mission: improving lives through the provision of affordable, high-quality healthcare solutions. This year, the company celebrated a remarkable milestone; 30 years of impact, innovation, and service to humanity.

The grand celebration, themed "Three Decades of Excellence in Healthcare and Product Launch," brought together leaders in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare professionals, traditional rulers, business associates, family members, and well-wishers in Lagos to commemorate a journey defined by resilience, growth, and purpose.

At the heart of the celebration was the company's Group Managing Director, Pharm. Ade Popoola, whose leadership has helped steer Reals Pharmaceutical through changing economic realities while maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

Reflecting on the company's journey, Pharm. Popoola acknowledged the challenges and victories that have shaped the organization over the past 30 years.

"It has not been a bed of roses. We have witnessed periods of boom and scarcity, but through every challenge, God has remained faithful and has continually made a way for the business to grow and thrive."

His remarks captured the essence of Reals Pharmaceutical's story, a company that has weathered economic storms while consistently delivering value to customers and communities.

The celebration also served as the platform for the unveiling of Dr Fizzo, a new product designed to support the treatment of acid-related disorders. The launch reinforces the company's commitment to innovation and its dedication to addressing pressing healthcare needs with effective and accessible solutions.

Industry leaders present at the event commended Reals Pharmaceutical for its contributions to healthcare in Nigeria. The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm. Tanko Ayuba, praised the company and its leadership for their role in advancing the pharmaceutical industry and encouraged the organization to continue setting high standards for excellence.

Chairman of Reals Pharmaceutical, Dr. Akinade Ogunbiyi, reflected on the organisation's transformation from humble beginnings into a respected player within the healthcare sector. He reaffirmed the company's dedication to the values that have guided its success; integrity, innovation, passion, and customer focus.

Beyond celebrating its achievements, Reals Pharmaceutical demonstrated its commitment to giving back. As part of the anniversary activities, the company launched the Reals Small Scale Business Empowerment Initiative, providing grants of ₦150,000 each to six small businesses located around its corporate headquarters in Ikeja.

The organization also recognized the dedication of its workforce through long-service awards. Employees who had spent ten years and above with the company received cash rewards ranging from ₦250,000 to ₦2 million. A special recognition was presented to Mr. Kule Adesoye, one of the company's pioneer employees, who has served faithfully since the organization's inception 30 years ago.

A major highlight of the event was a keynote presentation on acid-related disorders delivered by Consultant Family Physician, Dr. Taiwo Alege of LASUTH. The session emphasized the growing burden of gastrointestinal disorders and highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, healthy lifestyle choices, and appropriate treatment options.

As Reals Pharmaceutical celebrates this significant milestone, its story stands as a testament to visionary leadership, resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to improving healthcare outcomes. The company's 30-year journey demonstrates what is possible when purpose-driven leadership meets excellence in execution.

We congratulate Pharm. Ade Popoola and the entire Reals Pharmaceutical team on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing the organization's continued impact on healthcare delivery, innovation, and community development in the years ahead.
