Seed Nigeria's Leadership Lab and Company Visit to Signal Alliance Technology Holdings (SATH)

On Wednesday, 17th of June, 2026, Seed Nigeria members showed up for an insightful Company Visit and Leadership Lab Session hosted by Signal Alliance Technology Holdings (SATH), one of Nigeria's foremost technology and digital transformation groups.



The event, expertly emceed by Iyabode Tokosi, Head of Events at SATH, brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs for a day of learning, reflection, collaboration, and practical conversations around growth, leadership, innovation, and sustainability.


Welcoming members to the SATH headquarters, Adanma Onuegbu, Group Executive Director, expressed her appreciation to attendees for braving the weather and making the effort to participate in the session. She noted that meaningful learning often requires intentional commitment and commended members for prioritizing growth and community.



As she reflected on SATH's remarkable journey, Adanma shared that the organization marks 30 years in business this year. Founded in 1996 as Signal Alliance, the company evolved into a holding structure in 2021 in response to changing market dynamics and a desire to create a more scalable and sustainable business model. By 2023, SATH had embarked on a new mission of expanding its ecosystem beyond Nigeria and into global markets.


Today, the organization serves over 400 customers, supports more than 2.5 million users, and is working toward an ambitious goal of surpassing $100 million in revenue by 2027.

According to Adanma, SATH's growth has not been accidental. It has been driven by four key pillars: structural design, ecosystem scale, technology backbone, and leadership continuity.


One of the most powerful moments of her presentation came as she highlighted the importance of developing people.



She shared the story of Busola Komolafe, who joined the organization as a young employee and, through years of growth, learning, and leadership development, rose to become the Managing Director of CloudSA, one of SATH's most successful subsidiaries.


The story reinforced one of Adanma's key messages: leaders must build organizations that can thrive beyond them. She emphasized that true leadership is not about holding on to power but about creating opportunities for others to lead, grow, and succeed.


Reflecting on her own experience as a Stanford Seed participant, Adanma also acknowledged the impact of the Stanford Seed Transformation Program, noting that the coaching, strategic frameworks, and team development initiatives helped elevate both her leadership approach and the growth trajectory of the business.

Throughout her presentation, she repeatedly returned to a central theme: organizations scale when systems scale.

"The SATH journey," she explained, "is proof of the importance of structure, systems, and leadership."

She further emphasized that technology should not simply be viewed as a tool but as a driver of better decision-making, stronger discipline, and greater management transparency.


The conversation on growth continued with a presentation by Ndubuisi Ogbechie, Chief Operating Officer of SATH, who provided deeper insights into the company's evolution and operating model.



He explained that SATH currently operates through four subsidiaries and has interests in four associate companies through its investment arm, SASWare. Customer growth has tripled over the last five years, supported by strategic partnerships with global technology leaders including Microsoft, Huawei, and most recently, Anthropic.


One of SATH's long-term goals, he shared, has been to build subsidiaries that can operate independently while remaining connected through a shared vision and governance structure. Today, that vision is close to becoming a reality.


For Ndubuisi, competitive advantage in today's business environment comes down to one critical question:

How quickly can your team think differently?

Innovation, adaptability, and the ability to embrace technology, he noted, will increasingly determine which organizations succeed in the years ahead.


Members also heard from Busola Komolafe (earlier introduced), Managing Director of CloudSA, whose personal and professional journey served as one of the most inspiring stories of the day.

Having joined Signal Alliance over 17 years ago as a corps member, Busola worked across multiple functions, including technical support, marketing, sales, and product management, before eventually leading the cloud business.


She shared how CloudSA was built almost from scratch, beginning with a bold vision and ambitious growth targets. Through disciplined execution, strategic positioning around Microsoft's ecosystem, and a relentless focus on customer value, CloudSA grew into one of Nigeria's leading cloud companies.


The company moved from seventh place to become the number one cloud company among its peers and has since expanded into multiple African markets. In 2025, CloudSA achieved approximately $72 million in revenue and is now pursuing a $100 million target, supported by expansion plans, acquisitions, and increased investments in Artificial Intelligence.

The presentations continued with insights from the leadership of SA Consulting, another SATH subsidiary focused on helping organizations identify and implement sustainable technology solutions.


Its CEO shared his own journey from engineer to team lead, business development executive, and eventually chief executive. His story reflected another recurring theme of the day: the deliberate cultivation of internal talent.



Over the years, SATH has consistently prioritized developing leaders from within, filling critical leadership positions with homegrown talent while investing heavily in training, certifications, and professional development.


The company has also strengthened its security practice, enhanced pipeline generation capabilities, achieved significant revenue growth, and obtained numerous industry certifications as part of its growth strategy.


A technical session led by SATH's Chief Technology Officer further demonstrated how deeply technology is embedded in the organization's operations, strategy, and future vision.

One of the highlights of the event was the interactive Leadership Lab session, where learning became a two-way exchange.



Rather than limiting discussions to presentations, SATH opened its doors to collaborative problem-solving. The leadership team shared real business challenges and invited Seed Nigeria members to offer solutions, perspectives, and recommendations. Members also posed questions about growth, leadership, scaling, governance, technology adoption, and organizational sustainability.


Members also gained insights into SATH's people management philosophy through a session led by the Group Head of Human Resources, who shared how the organization has built and sustained its HR operations over the years. He spoke about the importance of aligning personality traits with roles to drive performance, managing employee relations and workplace disputes through structured processes, and creating systems that promote accountability and transparency.



He also highlighted Connie, SATH's internally developed HR platform, which gives employees easy access to company policies, procedures, and workplace information. The session reinforced the idea that sustainable growth is not only driven by technology and strategy, but also by intentional people systems that support employee development, engagement, and organizational excellence.


The result was a highly engaging and practical discussion that reflected the spirit of the Seed Nigeria community: leaders learning from leaders.


Beyond the presentations, members enjoyed networking opportunities, refreshments, interactive games, and light-hearted karaoke sessions that created an atmosphere of connection and camaraderie.


As the visit came to a close, attendees left with more than business insights. They left with practical lessons on succession planning, leadership development, organizational design, innovation, technology adoption, and the importance of building institutions that can endure for generations.



More importantly, they witnessed firsthand what is possible when vision is supported by structure, leadership is supported by systems, and growth is driven by intentionality.

The SATH Company Visit was not simply a tour of a successful business. It was a masterclass in building organizations that last.
