Stanford Seed Nigeria Network Company Visit: Micronutrients Laboratories Limited
Jun 20, 2025

The company visit brought together eight network members: Mr. Saidu Basharu, Mr. Adeola Damola, Mr. Majek Owoo, Mr. Ayodeji Monehin, Mrs. Olaide Soetan, Mr. Adam Mallinson, Mr. Lolu Ojo, and Mrs. Adetoun Fetuga, who represented August Secrets, founded by network member Mrs. Toyin Onigbanjo.

In addition to the Seed members, two guests invited by Mr. Acholonu were also in attendance, contributing to a rich and engaging exchange of ideas.
The meeting kicked off with a round of introductions, setting the tone for a collaborative and insightful conversation. A teammate of MLL delivered a compelling presentation, beginning with a personal story that highlighted how support from Seed Coaches was instrumental in navigating a critical period in the company. This reflection spoke loudly of the power of mentorship within the Seed Network.

MLL’s mission is rooted in science and driven by a vision to expand its footprint beyond Nigeria. They are strongly committed to social impact through the provision of high-wage employment and sustainable, nutrition-focused solutions.

They primarily operate in custom nutrient formulation for the food and beverage industry, developing tailored blends for specific client needs. They also engage in contract manufacturing, covering areas such as cereal fortification, nutrient-enhanced swallows, and the production of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF). Their primary clientele includes NGOs and food industry players, but there is a strong push to make their solutions more accessible to the broader public. Their efforts are aligned with both voluntary and government-mandated fortification programs aimed at addressing malnutrition, especially among children.
Mr. Saidu, Welfare Secretary of the Stanford Seed Network, played a key voice during the session. He emphasized the importance of collaboration both within the Seed Network members and with external stakeholders, as a strategic tool for business growth and long-term sustainability.
The visit was a powerful reminder of the shared values within the Seed Network: innovation and impact. The Seed Network looks forward to further successes in MLL as they continue to scale their solutions and transform lives through food fortification.
