Behind the Scenes: The First International Production
On April 4th, 2025, as summit activities buzzed in every corner, the Seed Diaries team transformed a quiet conference room into a professional film set. Despite the usual production challenges—lighting adjustments, last-minute touch-ups, and the occasional background noise—the team delivered a seamless experience. This marked the first time Seed Diaries was produced outside Nigeria, signaling a new era for the platform.
A Diverse Lineup of Global Leaders
Throughout the day, six compelling interviews were recorded, each adding a new voice to the Seed Diaries archive:
Sumit Sinhal (Kins Diabetes, South Asia): Shared how technology is revolutionizing chronic illness care.
Jimmy Vadera (VNC Global Business Edge Pvt Ltd, South Asia): Discussed the realities of managing cross-border businesses and his vision for global expansion.
Patrick Mbonye (Q-Sourcing, Uganda, East Africa): Explained the complexities of workforce development and scalable HR solutions in emerging markets.
Menna Bekele (Prime Integrated Services, Ethiopia): Spoke about her journey into sustainability and eco-conscious business development.
John Kufuor (African Regent): Reflected on leadership, luxury, and legacy in Africa’s hospitality sector.
Lukman Aroworamimo (Inqaba Biotec West Africa, Nigeria): Highlighted innovations in biotech and genomic research across the continent.
Each interviewee brought unique perspectives shaped by their local markets and global ambitions, making this the most internationally diverse season of Seed Diaries to date.
Building Connections Beyond the Camera
The international production was not just about capturing stories—it was also about building new bonds within the Seed Diaries team. Crew members, guests, and producers found common ground in their shared mission, turning a day of filming into a celebration of teamwork and possibility.
Looking Ahead: Seed Diaries on the World Stage
This Cape Town production is more than a milestone; it’s a statement of intent. Seed Diaries is now positioned to capture and share the stories of business leaders from every corner of the Seed Transformation Network—from Lagos to Nairobi, Accra to Addis Ababa, and beyond.
As our network becomes ever more global, so too does our storytelling. Seed Diaries remains committed to amplifying the voices of entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of business across Africa and Asia.
