Apr 21, 2025

Greenpeg Nigeria Limited, a leading force in industrial automation and safety solutions, marked a major milestone on February 27, 2025, with its 15th anniversary celebration and the official launch of its new facility in Ikeja, Lagos. The event drew an impressive roster of dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, who represented Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and delivered the keynote address.

Championing Local Innovation and Industrial Growth

In his remarks, the Deputy Governor praised Greenpeg’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s industrial landscape, highlighting the company’s role in driving technological innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic development. He emphasized the importance of homegrown enterprises like Greenpeg in reducing reliance on foreign expertise and fostering a robust local economy3.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, through his representative, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting local businesses, noting that Greenpeg’s dedication to innovation and skills development aligns with Lagos State’s broader economic vision.

Launch of West Africa’s Largest Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) Hub

A highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of Greenpeg’s state-of-the-art Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) Hub—the largest of its kind in West Africa. This multi-million dollar facility is set to transform the region’s industrial sector by providing end-to-end solutions for the design, installation, and maintenance of control panels, switchgear, and safety systems, all developed locally. This major investment not only reduces dependency on foreign vendors but also enhances efficiency and cost-effectiveness for businesses across the region.

Industry Leaders and Stakeholders in Attendance

The launch event attracted a distinguished audience, including Honourable Olatubosun Alake, Lagos State Commissioner of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and top executives from global industry leaders such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Pepperl+Fuchs. Their presence underscored the significance of Greenpeg’s achievements and the company’s growing reputation as a beacon of excellence in Nigeria’s industrial sector.

Commitment to Capacity Building and the Future

Bolaji Adekunle, Managing Director/CEO of Greenpeg, reiterated the company’s commitment to investing in Nigeria’s future through innovation, skills development, and technology transfer. The new ICSS Hub will serve as a cornerstone for workforce training and capacity development, empowering local professionals and supporting the country’s industrialization agenda.

Looking Ahead

As Greenpeg celebrates 15 years of excellence, the company continues to set the standard for industrial innovation in West Africa. The public and industry stakeholders alike have commended Greenpeg’s achievements, expressing optimism for its ongoing contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth and technological advancement57.

Greenpeg’s journey is a testament to the impact of visionary leadership and sustained investment in local talent and innovation. The next chapter promises even greater strides toward a self-reliant, technologically advanced industrial sector in Nigeria and beyond.
